From the first second that I heard OPI was releasing a polish called Spark de Triompe I knew I had to have it. Then I learned it was going to be in a Serena Williams Glam Slam duo with White Shatter and I became quite sad. Black Shatter was fun….for awhile. But I quickly got over the crackle/shatter trend. Luckily for me when I was at Beauty Brands the other day (which, by the way, is now carrying Deborah Lippmann!) I spotted the French Open duo on clearance.
Spark de Triomphe is a mix of chunky silver glitter and finer gold glitter that is suspended in a clear base. Unlike OPI Gift Of Gold, this is a cool gold which means it is much more flattering against my cool skintone.
It took 3 coats of Spark de Triomphe for this polish to become opaque. Next time I intend to try it over Orly Rage or Funky Fingers Edward’s Volvo. Hopefully that will help with the opaquness issue as well as the terrible wear time. This chipped pretty badly within 24 hours of application.
This polish was totally worth the wait and is a perfect addition to my French themed nail polishes.

I love this polish! It’s STILL on my wish list!
It’s so gorgeous! I’m so glad I finally have it
