The tennis at the Olympics is winding down. With most of the tennis finals this weekend it is the perfect time to do some tennis themed nail art. I thought about doing more traditional nail art but then decided that I wanted to do something a bit different. So I quite literally made my nails look like tennis balls!
For the base color I used Essie Mojito Madness and applied Lime flocking powder to give my nails a tennis ball texture. I used the same technique as I used in my DIY Velvet Manicure to adhere the flocking powder to the nails.
I really love the way this manicure turned out. It’s different from the other Olympic inspired nail art I’ve been doing and sport specific.
There are more swatches below the jump!

As someone who loves to watch and play tennis, I’m going to have to do this as some point. I knew there was a reason I picked up Mojito Madness last night.
Mojito Madness is gorgeous on it’s own too
THIS IS AMAZING! Never thought to do this as a “tennis ball manicure.” As an avid tennis player/fan, I’m always looking for new ways to feature tennis on my nails! This is great!!
Haha. I didn’t think about it either until I did a Velvet Manicure and the texture reminded me of a tennis ball
Great, cute idea. Love the inspiration. Looks amazing!
I’m so glad you like it!
so creative… love it … wonder how it look in red … I am passionate about red colour
I think it would be really pretty in red!
