I am a total Halloween junky. I just love everything about the holiday! So, I’ve been getting alot of use out of the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Halloween 2012 collection.
The Salon Effects wear so well I did admittedly got a bit bored with Numbskull. But instead of taking off a perfectly good manicure I decided to sponge Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Diamonds & Rubies over it. My initial thought was to sponge red over it making it look like blood. It turned out just to look a bit…creepy. But hey, it’s Halloween, creepy is good!
I used the same sponging method as I used in my DIY ombre manicure. Instead of using multiple colors I just used the one.
I’m quite happy with the way this manicure turned out. The only thing I would do different next time I maybe use a red that is a little less pink. When Diamonds & Rubies got thinned out from the sponging effect it started to look a bit too magenta.
Overall I’m pleased that I found a way to give Numbskull a different look. There are more watches below the jump!

Great idea! I like this better than the nail apps in b&w on their own!
I liked the addition of red. The design severely lacked color!
That is genius! I always get fed up with the edges of these things peeling and chipping, this is the perfect solution.
Oh yes. This definitely covers up tip wear and minor chips
